Doh

In a mad rush to catch my train back to London I left 'A Heart So White' at my parents house! Alas, in a gap of reading material I have embarked on 'The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes' which is proving to be great! And making me want to hang around Baker Street and say "Elementary" but not "Elementary, my dear Watson" because he never actually said that!

Book 2

I started reading 'A Heart So White' by Javier MarĂas as the second book of fifty two. The first chapter was mind blowing, a great opening which was very shocking. Butttt then 'Nobody Belongs Here More Than You by Miranda July dropped through my letter box. This is a book I have wanted to read for a good while and I was very excited to read it, that being said I got to work on it on Sunday afternoon and by the small hours of Monday morning I had finished it. This collection of short stories was just as well written as I had read in reviews, particularly Something That Needs Nothing' and 'Making Love in 2003'. Each story differs greatly, I detest it when a collection of short stories all seem to merge into one. I have always been a fan of short stories, but it has been awhile, so I will definitely be reading another few collections for the rest of the project.

3rd December

I decided to start the book challenge on my birthday as there was no way of forgetting my deadline for next year that way! Therefore, the challenge has begun. I've just finished the first title, thought I'd better start on a small one to begin and not set the bar too high. It was 'Travels in the Scriptorium' by Paul Auster and as per usual with Auster, a bit discomforting and eerie but thoroughly enjoyable. Now to the next....
